Mission

Through storytelling, we empower children to harness their imagination in order to create their own magic. The interactive nature of our performances allows our young audiences to see themselves as a community and work as a team to achieve common goals. They practice their resilience and determination facing the unknown, and laugh a lot along the way.

Parents are hungry for kids to experience the world beyond a screen. Grownups at our shows connect with our innovative and high quality performances while making lasting memories with their kids. We aim to inspire families to begin building traditions of engaging with the arts and the outdoors.

Values

• Celebrate Beauty: We are so lucky to be surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and seascapes in the Bay Area. We want to offer our audiences a way to revel in it, appreciate it, and love it as it deserves to be loved.

• Ignite Imagination: The natural world is FULL of invention, and it invites humans to collaborate. We want to stir the creativity and imagination in our audiences, transporting them to new realms of storytelling which shift their sense of possibility even after the show is over.

• Share the Wisdom of Stories: Stories are how humans have sent love, advice, and comfort down through the ages. When we allow kids to interact with these stories with their whole bodies, they can integrate the care coming from generations upon generations of storytellers quite deeply.

• Promote Environmental Awareness: Through our performances we want to foster a feeling of kinship with the environment and a commitment to its care, inspiring sustainable practices among our patrons.

• Enhance Community Connections: Taking a long walk with someone creates a bond. This is moving to us. We aspire to create a sense of togetherness among our audiences, building strong, supportive community.

• Empower Local Artists: We provide a platform for local actors, writers, puppeteers, sculptors, designers, and musicians to share their gifts with community and be paid a dignified wage for their labor.

• Create Lasting Memories: When we’re crafting our shows, we listen for that little vibration that tells us: “Ah. This could be a lasting moment.” We believe in creating experiences that linger in the hearts and minds of our audiences, so that they can serve as touchstones far into the future.
